How much can you tell your mother before she gets up and leaves?

Elin and her teenage daughter are sitting on a bench in the park. They have been shopping for the daughter’s confirmation the next weekend. They are drinking coffee and juice in the sunshine. All is well, although the dress the daughter wants is much too expensive. Then grandmother arrives. Is she coming to the rescue? Or is this the moment everything falls apart?

FREE is a story about a woman and her mother in a park. A performance about what we tell each other and what stays unspoken.

In the park there are students, pensioners, a group of alcoholics, mothers breast-feeding and Council gardeners. The audience are given headsets and follow the action seated on a scaffolding ensuring them a bird's eye view of the park, whilst listening into the action and the protagonist’s unspoken thoughts."
